Marketing and Community Manager

Goals:

  • Increase lead generation, member engagement and retention through community-oriented programming and content
  • Improve social media engegement through authentic content and interactions
  • Improve local community relations, member longevity, and awareness of The Overlook

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Work with management to create, maintain, and manage a calendar of events, workshops, specialty programs, partnerships, retail demos, and local happenings to drive customer engagement
  • Develop and implement multi channel email and text marketing campaign
  • Prepare monthly newsletters for members and non members alike
  • Manage community art wall
  • Meet with management to develop and maintain promotional schedule
  • Conduct asset creation, basic photography, and prepare copy for social posts and in gym marketing
  • Maintain the website to support operational changes, programming schedules, and event advertising
  • Coordinate quarterly offsite in person marketing events
  • Implement quarterly gym wide member surveys
  • Manage reduced rate membership program
  • Other tasks related to marketing and membership management

Qualifications:

  • Effective time managment skills and proactive work ethic
  • Self starter and ability to see act on items with limited direction
  • Minimum of 2 years of marketing or social media experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Photography and videography skills
  • Friendly, professional + reliable
  • Interest + experience in rock climbing
